Hello everyone
Welcome back to all of our members from the Easter vacation. It’s good to see the weather has turned for the better so we can look forward to more good months ahead.
Our membership has increased again in April; however, there is a long way to go. The committee has been very pro-active adding some new incentives to their entertainment programme, such as on Tuesdays nights when you can learn and play Mah Jong, which is a type of Chinese domino game. Also our regular pool tournaments on Friday are becoming popular. Along with this we had Ellie of London entertaining us on St. George’s night with English pop favourites.
In July we will be featuring the Olympics from London and that should well be worth following to see if Great Britain can beat Senegal in their opening soccer match and of course there are
plenty of other important football matches to be played too.
Remember this is your club and your attendance and support is very much needed for the club to continue. We the committee are dedicated to maintain the welfare of the members and the survival of the club. We have moved on and there is no turning back, so bring your friends and colleagues and join in the fun and entertainment in the cosiest watering hole this side of the Nile. You will always be made welcome and you can also relax and sample our fine Asian cuisine prepared by our very own Mary Reuss,
where you can book and confirm your Sunday Roast.
