Mohandiseen Clubhouse

The BCA Mohandiseen clubhouse is located in a quiet neighbourhood at the crossroads of Galal Al Deen Al Hamamsy - Rashed Street and Abdel Moneim El Saned Street. , two blocks from Ahmed Oraby Streets just after the Shell Station on the way towards Sudan Street and the 26th of July Access.

Where are we?

The physical address is No. 29 Al Rashed Street, Agouza (Mohandiseen) – A white four story building with a large white gated entrance, the new clubhouse iwas previously the Guinean Embassy and is located on the corner of Galal Al Deen Al Hamamsy - Rashed Street and Abdel Moneim El Saned Street. Traveling away from Zamalek and towards Sudan Street through Sphinx Square (Agouza), there is a large Omar Effendi Department Store on the left and a Shell petrol station on the right. El Rashed Street is the first turning to the right after the petrol station and the intersection with Abdel Moneim El Saned Street is the second intersection on the left.

The clubhouse is very secure and at least one member of staff is always posted at the gate during opening hours to let both members and visitors alike into the premises and garden.

Watering Hole

With one of the best selections of beverages in the city, the BCA Mohandiseen watering hole is the perfect place to kick back at the end of a long day. Background music, gentle air-conditioning and high-speed ‘wireless’ internet access are all on offer and help us in providing satisfaction for all.

So please feel free to, visit - enjoy an ice-cold drink while chatting at the bar, relax in the comfort of our lounge, or enjoy the fresh-air of our pleasant garden terrace.

Restaurant

Take a look at our daily menu. We always have the familiar standbys available - like a full English breakfast or a BLT - plus every day we offer a selection of your favourites from back home - such as steak pie, fish and chips, tasty curries and plenty more. In addition to all this, we also run special theme nights on which we provide further variety to our menu and often on Thursday nights we put on a barbecue in the garden. Of course no British Club would be complete without the traditional Sunday Lunch and as such, every Friday we offer a delicious Roast with all the trimmings.

Reader’s Club - Book Library

Located in the upstairs meeting room we have a well-stocked library where books can be selected at leisure and read in the comfort of our lounge or taken away for reading at home.

Sports Zone

Come support your teams by watching the match in the BCA Mohandiseen Sports Zone. All the major football, rugby, and cricket matches are screened ‘live’ on our giant screen located in the upstairs watering hole. Grab a bevy, kick-back and enjoy the game. (Motorsports and other international sports are also shown subject to demand)

Video Library

Our video library has a vast selection of classic and modern films and series available for members to rent. Every month we bring in the hottest new imported and unedited titles on DVD so you can stay up on current cinema from the comfort of your own home.

Karaoke Nights

Not a regularly scheduled, but definitely a regularly occuring event - at least once a month on Thursday - the BCA Mohandiseen plays host to the greatest performers in Cairo: YOU! That's right, come flex those vocal cords and sing your favourite tunes until the wee hours of the morning. You won't regret it.

Quiz Nights

Every second and fourth Tuesday of the month the BCA Mohandiseen's very own Quiz Master tests our mental strength in a time-honoured pub tradition: Quiz Night! Come on down and throw your hat in to win prizes and show your friends the sheer volume of your trivial knowledge. Teams of 4 can begin registering at 7:30pm and the Quiz begins at 8:00pm. Good luck!

Darts League

Monday nights Cairo's finest darts players shoot each other down in the Cairo Darts League. To join a team, contact the clubhouse for more information. There is one season a year, beginning in the Autumn it runs through until late Summer the following year, but breaking for major holidays.

BCA Leagues:

As mentioned before we try to cater for all ages and tastes, as well as ensuring we have regular interaction with our sister-clubs in the Mohandiseen and Maadi clubhouses plus other clubs in and around Cairo. So with this in mind, we host a full sports programme and our teams are fully involved in the well run, pool, darts and cricket leagues.

Pool League

Wednesday nights throughout the Cairo expat club scene, teams from the BCA Pool League square off. To get involved, contact the clubhouse for details. There are two seasons per year and several singles and doubles tournaments throughout the year.
