As most folks have already heard, the BCA Mohandiseen will be relocating early in the New Year.
The new clubhouse is located as follows:
The physical address is No. 29 Al Rashed Street, Agouza (Mohandiseen).
A four story building with a large white gated entrance, the new clubhouse which was previously occupied by the Embassy of Guinea and is located on the corner of Galal Al Deen Al Hamamsy-Rashed Street and Abdel Moneim El Saned Street. (A large fruit and vegetable stall occupies the pavement of the central reservation at Abdel Moneil El Saned Street junction).
Directions:
Travel down Ahmed Orabi Street away from Zamalek and towards Sudan Street.
After passing through Sphinx Square where it intersects with Arab League Street (Gameat El Dowal El Arabia), there is a large Omar Effendi store on the left, and a little further on, a Shell petrol station on the right.
Galal Al Deen Al Hamamsy-Rashed Street is the first turning to the right after the petrol station, and the intersection with Abdel Moneim El Saned Street is a few hundred hundred meters further down on the left.
Parking is much easier in this area than at the old clubhouse and as Al Rashed Street is a large dual carriageway, taxis are frequent and can be hailed from right outside the main gate.
Facilities:
The clubhouse interior has a newly made and architect designed, watering hole located in a large room that was previously two rooms which have now been opened with a central archway to create more space.
This area also boasts a glassed-in sun-terrace.
In addition, there are two adjoining rooms:
One which will be furnished and equipped as a restaurant and one as a pool room and sports TV Viewing area.
Small kitchen that will operate a ‘short-order’ service such as sandwiches (toasted or plain), burgers, hotdogs, pies with chips and gravy, plus other clubhouse standards like Thursday Fish and Chips, plus Friday Roast Beef. (Full menu to follow shortly).
Ladies and Gents toilets are equipped with all necessary facilities.
At present there is no garden to speak of, but there is sufficient space to lay paving and build a private patio area in the near future.
Parking is generally available on both frontages of the clubhouse.
