Hello everyone
Despite the ‘interesting’ times recently, our club has managed to trundle along, offering a warm welcome to all and a varied and tasty menu which has been most successful after its makeover. It has been very encouraging to see new faces enjoying our Fish and Chips and ‘Sunday’ roast specials, as well as coming along to share in the traditional ‘curse the referee’ evenings which are such a
popular diversion towards the end of the Premiership season.
In addition, we had two great evenings of music recently - firstly, featuring Power Trip, a band new on the scene but who played like seasoned professionals, entertaining all until late into the night - and then, Claire and Jo, who gave us an evening of excellent Folk / Pop music, with many amusing anecdotes and quips which were very well received by the captivated audience.
Watch out for the mails and posters announcing special events, and, of course, should you wish to book the upstairs bar for your own special event (Birthday? Anniversary? Celebrating a Premiership Win?) ...you will be more than welcome to do so, free of charge.
Please note that tickets for the Queen’s Birthday Ball, the Diamond Jubilee, are now on sale. This promises to be the best ever Ball, so make sure that you get your booking in as early as possible. This is truly unmissable! Don’t forget, it’s another ten years before the Platinum Jubilee: can you really wait that long?
Best Regards
Jim Bradshaw - Vice-Chairman
