The annual BCA Queen's Birthday Ball is held, with the continued support of HM
Ambassador, in the British Embassy Residence gardens. This function is without a
doubt, the premier expatriate social event of the year and is attended by over 600
people from Britain, the Commonwealth, Egypt and many other countries too.
This event, as well as the recently revived BCA St. George’s Ball, the BCA Autumn
Ball and the BCA Christmas Ball are formal affairs, which provide an excellent
opportunity for folks to dress-up formal in dinner-jacket and ball-gown for an
evening of prestigious entertainment.
Whilst final dates are normally only fixed two to three months ahead of the event
itself, the BCA Maadi St. George’s Ball is normally scheduled for the last Friday in
April, the BCA Queen’s Birthday Ball is normally held on the second or third Friday
of June, the BCA Mohandiseen Autumn Ball on the last Friday of September or first
Friday of October, the BCA Heliopolis Christmas Ball on the first Friday of December
